NewFound Talent Contest MusicNL Week 2018 Edition

MUSICNL OFFERS YOUNG MUSICIANS OPPORTUNITY TO KICKSTART THEIR MUSICAL CAREERS DURING MUSICNL WEEK

MusicNL is proud to present the 2018 NewFound Talent Contest during MusicNL Week in Twillingate on Wednesday October 10th, 2018.

The NewFound Talent Contest is designed to discover, develop, encourage and showcase young entertainers. The competition offers professional development prizes valued at over $6,000 to aid talented young performers enhance their songwriting, performing and music business skills. Young musicians aged 19 and under will perform for a panel of professional judges and an audience. The contest will take place at the Twillingate Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday October 10th.

“The MusicNL NewFound Talent Contest is a phenomenal way for us to identify our future stars while they are still developing,” says Glenda Tulk, Executive Director of MusicNL. “This contest provides young musicians with expert mentorship and performance exposure. It is one of our most important all-ages initiatives and certainly one of our favourite events.”

Individuals interested in applying for the contest can do so by filling out this form by September 26th, 2018 at 11:55pm. Registration is limited so register early!

Participants must be under 19 years of age. They must perform one song, either an original or a cover, and must either play the song live themselves or be accompanied by a live musician (no backing tracks).
