This year our motto is go big or go home – MusicNL Week is offering four days jam-packed with workshops and panel discussions as well as various networking opportunities to artists and industry professionals at all levels of their careers.
Session topics include artist management, music publishing, international touring, marketing, production, songwriting and more!
New this year are two workshops geared towards artists in the heavy metal and rap/hip-hop genres.
We’re welcoming Josh Hogan to present a custom session entitled “The Many Methods of Marketing Metal Music”, as well as his popular “No One Owes You Shit” presentation: a look at various inspiring truths about the music industry that everyone needs to know, no matter what level of your career you’re at.
Andree Gracie of Grey Sea Artist & Event Management will be joining us with Melissa MacMaster of 902 Hip Hop to present “The State of Hip Hop Music in Atlantic Canada” along with Halifax-based hip-hop artists Quake Matthews, DJ Slim and Jay Mayne.
Back by popular demand is JUNO Masterclass performance coach Luther Mallory with his stage presence intensive “Destroy The Stage”. This limited-availability session requires pre-registration!
Award-winning songwriter Jenn Grant will be presenting our Songwriting Workshop this year, inviting participants to explore their songwriting process and hone their techniques. Pre-registration is required.
Our Export Buyers Program gives exporting and export-ready artists an opportunity to perform for and network with our curated roster of interested music buyers from Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. We’re pleased to announce some of our roster of twenty-five buyers confirmed for MusicNL Week 2017, check it out here!
